I mean if your people are nominating people like Sharron Angle why can't we nominate Grayson?

Sharon Angle lost to an unpopular, ineffective Senate majority leader of a party that had their worst election cycle in almost 20 years. Grayson lost by 30 points in a swing district. Why should either party nominates candidates such as these? Just because the Republican primary electorate has gone insane, does it mean the Democrats have to follow suit?

Well what's the problem in safe seats? I don't get why the people are using Bachmann as a counter-example as they tend to be staunch defenders of her's. There is absolutely no reason why a safe D seat should ever have some Blue Dog or Moderate Hero type representing it.

Grayson is a firebrand, but Angle and Bachmann have much more over the top rhetoric. The Democrats need more tough politicians in their ranks and Grayson would be a good fit for a safe Democratic district.

Two new seats, ugh. If Florida fails to send him back it deserves to have its statehood revoked.

Well there should be no question whatsoever as to if he's running now:

And if he's raising money like that, it's kind of silly to be skeptical that he's going to win the primary, especially without an opponent. Sure one will probably declare if he gets the district he wants (likely), but they're not going to have any money and pretty lousy name recognition in comparison.

Well, they (his potential primary opponents) also didn't lose by an embarrassingly large margin in an Obama seat, and also would probably be quiet sho-ins for the seat rather than pompous bombardiers who could risk losing it based soley on their completely unlikable personalities.

It's the same reason why Angle is one of the most despised people by Nevada Republicans--she blew an important election spectacularly.  I'm willing to bet the Democrats of whatever district he decides to run in are going to be a bit skeptical of Grayson, especially if the drawn seat is only ~60% Obama (which he could very easily lose).
