Mark Warner is the best that's available.

While I have Warner as my VP, I dare say I could settle for Warner / Bayh 2008

By my count, the results are as follows...

Evan Bayh - 13*
Hillary Clinton - 1**
John Breaux - 1
Jim Oberstar - 1
Al Gore - 1
Mark Warner - 1
Bill Richardson - 1
Alan Colmes - 1
Michael Dukakis - 1***
Mary Landrieu - 1

It seems pretty clear that Evan Bayh is the big favorite on the forum amongst Democrats.

Bayh - 13* - ILikeVerin expressed his support for Senator Bayh as a Presidential candidate however he is an Independent as of now so instead of 14 votes, Senator Bayh has a total of 13.

Hillary Clinton- 1** - Hillary's name is mentioned twice as the top choice of two Democrats on this thread however one member's account was deleted and after other issues concerning this member, the vote was not counted. Hillary's total stands at 1 vote.

Michael Dukakis - 1***- Angel of Death was the lone Dukakis supporter on the thread (and probably lone support in the country but that's besides the point...) however he does not have a Democratic avatar. Then again, after reading some of his posts in the past, I figured that he was actually a Dem just without an avatar and so his vote for Dukakis stands.

Sorry for bumping this, but I could not resist. Evan Bayh landsliding the forum Democratic straw poll. How hilarious, considering how hated he is now amongst Democrats here.

Problem with the Democratic Party faithfuls (whether it pains to admit) is a willingness to accept anything from any of their corporatists. It's a problem I'm having with the presidency of Barack Obama tied in with s****ing on the base (for show).

Wow, a total of 4.5% for candidates who actually ran. But yeah, Bayh sucks. I'm glad that he is getting replaced with someone honest about being a Republican. Ben Nelson, Manchin and Lieberman hopefully go down in 2012.
