we gotta come up with some reasonable lexicon, so such questions aren't necessary.  I had the same question you did.  And I still recoil in horror every time I read someone using these terms to refer to social mores.  (guess that in itself makes me a "social conservative")  If Angus=social conservative, then the most socially conservative country I've visited in Western Europe is Netherlands.  No coincidence that it is my favorite country in that region of the world to visit (oops, I apologize.  I forget y'all like to call that collection of islands and peninsulas a continent.)

Still, as can plainly be demonstrated, we need some new lexicon here.

Suggest something, Al.

On immigration, some countries accept a lot more immigrants than others. Sweden accept a lot, Finland very few for instance.
