No mention of the Governors race at all. What's up with that?

They've barely mentioned the Governor races at all.

Considering they built it up due to the all important redistricting about to happen, an epic fail on the media's party.

Actually things are much worse for dems then MyPalFish will let on. Republicans destroyed Dems at the state level in many places.

Not surprising really.  It wouldn't make sense for people to vote for a smaller federal government and to vote for local leaders who want a larger federal government.

I've heard it discussed a bit but I also noticed that governorships were not discussed much on election night in MSM. There really wasn't even much talk about California which had a ton of MSM coverage prior to election day and I heard nothing about the shockingly close South Carolina race. The whole focus seemed to be on the U.S. Senate and, to a lesser degree, the U.S. House.

The Florida's Governor's race is less of a big deal because nonpartisan redistricting passed in Florida.

It is a big deal for me because this is the fourth time in a row the GOP has captured the governor's mansion in the state. Florida is the constant heartbreaker state for Democrats... we always seem to be at around 48%. It's like there's millions of Democrats held hostage by a slightly larger GOP majority. If the southern part of the state could just secede it'd be a much better arrangement, IMO Smiley

The lawsuits are already underway with the "fair" districting amendment.

And with Republican domination in Tallahassee, I wouldn't be surprised if it was overturned.

The same type of lawsuit was attempted this summer and it failed.  I suppose trying another lawsuit again can't hurt.

Also, as AJC noted, Republicans have completely dismantled the Florida Democratic Party (YEAH!).  So with that being said, let's see if the Republicans have any tricks up their sleeves to somehow abide legally by the new rules yet have districts drawn that still favor the GOP.

I have been watching ABC at the beginning of the election night and they were speaking only about Florida.
