The F-22 Bill
$4,500 million per year for then next ten years will be allocated to the Department of Defense for the purpose of developing a naval version of the F-22 fighter and to accelerate the development of the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter.

This would result in a huge court battle if the 4th Senate defeats the "Legislative Languange" Version of the bill, as the 3rd Senate passed it.

The third Senate never passed it as the Senate vote was never closed, and therefore the vote was considered to still be in progress as the new Senate came into session, and therefore the old vote lapsed and is considered void, same for a number of other bills where the loose ends weren't tied off at the end of the Session, though we were in a state of chaos at the time.

Assuming we have the real life defense budget adjusted for the changes made by the fantasy government, it comes to 1.11%, or just over one percent.

I would like to take the time right now to express this administration's strong support for the F-22 Bill. It is without a doubt a step in the right direction for a stronger defense system here in Atlasia.
As President of the Senate, I would like to open debate for two days. Full Senate debate will begin at 12 midnight EST Thursday, November 18th and end at 12 midnight Saturday, November 20th.
At 12:01 AM on Saturday voting on the bill will begin.

Are we using the real life defense budget here? If this bill is passed, I would like to take on some of the production of the F-22 in my region, which will create thousands of new jobs for the North East.

I encourage all Senators to vote for this bill so that Atlasia can retain the most capable armed forces in the world. We must pass this Bill so that the armed forces can move into the new millenium by creating and utilizing Second Generation techonology and the first step toward this is to help fund the F-22.

I would ask my Senators to vote on this, or they (Harry) will lose any chance of my vote in December.

My assumption is that this is still in the design stage, and prototype stage, so currently the government can't merely begin production. But the faster we develop this technology, the sooner we can teach people to fly it.
