I can't understand that you all Asterix and the Actress don't like. I think that is the best book without Goscinny. For me are the English of French titles not usual too. I was growing up with the German titles

My favorites post Goscinny are The Great Divide, the Black Gold and the Magic Carpet. I found them all quite good, but still miles behind the ones written by the genius Goscinny.

I found Le Grand Fossé and L'Odysée, especially the latter, to be really good actually. It was only the later ones which became crazy; the final one (or penultimate one) was real crap.
