who fails to recognize that people who disagree with him are not traitors.
Exactly which points do you feel Savage is doing this with? I want specific examples.

No, he is just another narcissistic right-wing pseudo-intellectual with a huge mean streak who has sold out for filthy lucre, a political cutthroat who would have never fit in among the Founding Fathers who were too civilized for such stuff.  Can you imagine him sacrificing his luxuries for a principle?
Savage is an ego maniac and has a mean streak agreed. Personally I really don't like that about him. I can take it with a grain of salt, partly because I grew up in NY and he is far from unique with those qualities. Savage doesn't need to sacrifice luxury because he already is putting his very life in danger for doing a job that he does not need to do. He is very wealthy with out radio. Your point about our founders. How do you know they were not arrogant or humble? We have no idea. Do we? Michael's personality takes nothing away from the fact that he is shining a bright light on corruption and on our gangster regime for all to consume. He also exposes the evils of Liberalism to many who even like his style. So your come backs are based on emotion and not fact, hence you loose the debate on all counts.

As if it had authority? I have far more use for the Federalist Papers than I have for off-the-cuff, unpolished inspirited rhetoric.  Ahhh, can't take the truth? Can't take "Feelings" getting hurt. Poor baby. Ahh grow up!

Have you ever recognized that the liberal Democrats want to preserve what is best in America and change what is faulty for something better? The problem with the right-wing (regrettably, conservatism with its conscience and caution is largely dormant if not dead)
Republicans is that they want to preserve and promote what is worst in America -- a system that works only for a few.
You are a Socialist and that leads to shackles, not freedom. We the majority have sacrificed many lives to protect not just our freedom but many others as well and will never give in to you radical Socialists. And WRONG! It doesn't 'Only work for a few" You are brainwashed and clueless to how this Republic works. You listen to propaganda and believe it. Stop spreading the lies of the left because you are hurting the US!

Facts and knowledge are the short suit of the Hard Right. You right-wingers are the sorts who would establish the sort of economic order that begs for revolutionary change from the Extreme Left. You will fail, as Obama as well. If Obama fails Freedom and America wins. Go back to your banana republic and keep your propaganda to yourself. You sir are programmed by the left and can not be deprogrammed.

I said this on a show back in November '09. He will declare an emergencey and have his 'Fire Decree" that Hitler used to grab Dictatorship. And I never called you a socialist, that crazy Liberal is tripping. Or I mis posted.

Savage isn't worth losing an enemy over, much less a friend.
Michael Savage is a Patriot and has the same qualities as most of our Founders and could have easily have been one if he lived in that era. Savage better represents honest, hard working God fearing Americans better than most out there and we are lucky to have him.
I disagree with you 100% and would be willing to bet like most Liberals you never hear our side and do not even listen to Conservative Talk Radio. Hence we have all sides to decide what is correct, you have one side. The Left! The evil Socialist, America hating Left. In addition at the end of the day it isn't even about the hosts anyway. It's about the mission, the message and articulating the truth so we have the facts and knowledge to fight back the Pimps of propaganda in the Press and educate the masses of brainwashed Dem voters..

If you listen to his radio show, this is verbatim what you’ll hear:

50% commercial breaks

45% “I’m great and underappreciated and my book is going to save America, but I need your help to spread the word, so please buy my book.”

4% “Obama is not worried about being reelected because he plans to tear up the constitution and form an open dictatorship, in which case there won’t be a 2012 election….the economic collapse of 2008 was scripted and brought about in order to bring Obama to power...and I have the facts to back it up...but you'll have to buy my book to find out.  But you need this vital info before Nov 2nd, so please buy now!”

1% misc

Avoiding it all together. Well that is worth consideration. Because the temptation to fire back at Libs is too strong and makes it really hard to hold fire.
Just a kind of different perspective here, but I would also argue that Facebook, Twitter, and other social networks are inherently progressive in nature. My theory is based on the fact that a social network tries to replicate a traditional social network (like the ones we have in town, churches, schools, soccer clubs, etc.), but rather than allowing it to grow organically, the platform (aka the government) itself leverages all of peoples' information according to its own ends.

Because of this, I think that the majority of social network users are more likely to be Left in their thinking. Thus, my guess is that you're more likely to reconnect with old school buddies and friends who are "left" in their socio-political ideologies. Thus, if you're conservative in your thinking, it's not a bad idea to go into the whole networking experience with this in mind.

and who would obey such a decree?  Congress?  The military?  State Governors?

Obama would be removed from office within 72 hours if he attempted such a move.

I never said he would succeed, but he is radical enough to try it and probably thinks unionizing the Police and fire and with his civilian Army he could pull it off. But he is dead wrong if this is what that Marxist thinks..

I don't need to. The consensus is that he is a very nasty and intolerant fellow.

No, it is you right-wingers who, if your perverse dreams of a plutocratic theocracy with severe repression come to pass, would create the scenario that leads to revolution from a would-be Lenin, Mao, or Castro.

I am about to put a new troll on the Ignore list. Anyone who has this tagline

Liberalism is the enemy of freedom and must be exposed and destroyed at all costs.

probably has a fetish for brown clothing, twisted crosses,  and stiff-arm salutes.

The diametric opposite of liberalism is... fascism.

Honestly, I don't care enough about simple matters of ideology to make enemies over it. I try my hardest to avoid talking politics with friends.

This, especially the first part.

If you and your friend disagree so much on core values of life, are you really friends to begin with?

It's certainly not impossible.  They just can't be highly political a-holes who see your not-Liberalism as a crime against Humanity.  I have plenty of overtly Communist friends, and they're all really good people once you get past the whole "overthrow the bourgeoisie" part.

LOL

Liberalism and fascism are interchangable.

All that liberalism and fascism have in common is a shared disdain for Communism.

Otherwise:

1. Liberalism is internationalist. It recognizes that people can have much in common despite cultural and religious differences. Fascism is invariably chauvinist in its nationalism, often denying the humanity of people of other nations even when the differences are slight.

An American, Indian, Indonesian, or Japanese liberal believe in much the same on how to organize society despite sharp contrasts of culture but would recognize the differences between them as harmless. American, Indian, Indonesian, and Japanese fascists would show solidarity with each other only as partners in crime.  Even where cultural differences are slight, fascists can turn on each other quickly. Nazis quickly suppressed any Polish fascists during World War II and would have exterminated any Yiddish-speaking Jewish fascists.

2. Liberalism recognizes the need for restraint on the means of repression. Fascists recognize no such need.

3. Liberalism recognizes the need for constitutional government as opposed to despotism or oligarchy. Fascism is either despotism or oligarchy.

4. Liberals stand for religious liberty. Fascism subordinates religion to the Nation.

5. Liberalism has pacifism as an ideal. Fascism is extreme in its militarism.  Liberal states never attack each other, but fascist states can turn on each other.

6. Liberalism recognizes the right of workers to organize for higher wages and better working conditions. Fascism ordinarily uses the power of the State to degrade working people on behalf of employers.

7. Liberalism recognizes the need for a free press. Fascism destroys all independence in the media.

8. Liberalism is the political result of centuries of rational inquiry and pragmatic conduct. Fascism is the subordination of reason to the Will of the Leader.

9. Liberals believe in largely-free markets with consumer choice. Fascism replaces economic  competition with command.

The entire two party system is a joke man, all about power.  We need a non-partisan president like George Washington.
