Anyone else heard this? I heard Tancredo is polling 38% and the Democrat 44% the Republican has no essentially fallen out of the race and I really wish he would drop out and back Tancredo. I really really hope Tancredo can pull this one out.

Yes, if Tom Tancredo is elected Governor, it will give him a boost to be David Duke's running mate. Should be a dream ticket for some people.

I did finally move the race from strong Dem to lean Dem on my map mostly because of the Rasmussen polling but to say the race is a tossup when Hickenlooper has lead in pretty much every poll ever is a bit of a stretch.

RedCommander if you find out who this stark character is please let me know. The simple minded here seem to think I am this stark person who has returned which if they would just check my i.p address they would see they are wrong but hey what's to stop morons from making stupid accusations without backing them up. I can see now this place is obviously very liberal when it comes to conservative candidates or candidates who want to stop illegal immigration. To the person who said Tancredo could be Duke's running mate I doubt that would happen because Tancredo is very pro israel something duke is not. Try get your head out from between your legs and have a legit coversation.

Which is funny if you Consider that Tancredo's actually pulling more Hispanic support than white support in this race.

Well, it looks like Maes is finally calling it quits:

http://blogs.denverpost.com/thespot/2010/10/07/republicans-drop-dan-maes/15900/

Even PPP has this as a potentially competitive 2-horse race (47-46 Hickenlooper v Tancredo/Maes).  I still wish it was someone other than Tancredo though.

And you know this based on what? A 2 point margin in a subsample of 100 of a poll of 600 people?

You can't really put much stock into crosstabs, but in the most recent poll in the database where I can access them, Hickenlooper had 47% with both Whites and Hispanics, while Tancredo had 33% support among Whites and 36% support among Hispanics. His favorables among Hispanics in that poll were 41% fav to 40% unfav. It's so close and with such a small sample size that you can't really say with much certainty that Tancredo is doing better among Hispanics. Probably noise.
