I remember New Mexico in 2000 as well, with that "missing precinct" of voters that miraculously gave Gore the lead there by a few hundred votes.

Or the Tim Johnson "finding enough Indian voters" thing we saw in 2002 in South Dakota.  Fortunately, the Dems got their comeuppance on this one in 2004, when there just weren't enough "registered Indians" to make up the difference.

I might suggest Hugh Hewitt's book, for those of us who look over these things closely.

One thing's for sure, if Rossi doesn't win it, he'll make an excellent challenger to Maria Cantwell in 2006.  Smiley

Heh, I was just wondering today who would run against Cantwell and I thought, ROSSI...if he loses.

Hes ahead by 33 votes right now. *sigh*

If the difference is less than 150 votes it has to be recounted by hand.

I find it so ironic how any questioning of results by dems is somehow CRAZY conspiracy...etc. but the dems consistently steal elections.  Luckily, we have the liberal media to not report on how we steal elections.  We've been doing it at least as far back as the 1960 presidential election.  You'd think we'd be better at it, however, maybe we could've figured out how to steal NH or NV or FL in 2000.

oh wait, the republicans controlled florida.  That's why we couldn't steal it, despite our best efforts.  Thank God the Republicans were there to keep the election legit.

how about Grays Harbor county "double counting" some Republican votes, giving him a small lead and winning that county when really its a Gregoire county? Luckily that MISTAKE was caught. I don't think anyone is cheating.

I'm sure enough King County ballots will be found to count out Rossi in the end.  I know one Democrat who won't necessarily be pleased by that prospect.  That Democrat would be Senator Cantwell.

Skagit and Walla Walla counties had twice as many ballots as suspected. They voted for Rossi.

Are they cheating too?

Gregoire is now up by 13 votes with just 750 ballots to count....they are all from heavily Republican Benton County.  The big question now will be whether Rossi's lead will be big enough to avoid a statewide hand recount.  There will be an automatic recount regardless, but a hand recount requires a margin of <150 votes.

I am hearing rumors on other sites from Channel 2 News in WA that Rossi has won by 261 votes (Benton must not have been posted yet).

There be a machine recount, but no hand recount.

Maria Cantwell is breathing a sigh of relief right now.

Unless a certain county finds a few thousand more votes in the recount.

261 votes out of 2.8 million..

It's over now... ya right....

It Lawyer time !!!

This thing gets litigated till the cows come home...

I am glad for the people of Washington however if Rossi wins - Divided Government is good Smiley  Dem Legislatures and GOP Governments are ok.

I like GOP legislatures with a Dem executive better, but at least they will get a little benevolent gridlock Smiley

I love how two republican counties find DOUBLE the number of votes its fine, but when ONE dem county does it theyre CHEATING.

If only Gregoire didn't look like a skeleton...Maybe the simple-minded folk would've voted for her then.

The senate recount helped Cantwell about with 276 (or something) higher than before. Maybe Gregoire will get the same and win! Smiley

Yes one good thing is there are no more qualified Republicans left in the state. Wink

Rossi lives 2 miles or so away from me and he was the state senator that represented most of my city... I'm sure he did well here, if only stupid King County would release precint results.
