I certainly think it will fly through Harrisburg.....  It broadens a fairly broad standard already but closes loopholes.

Support.....don't particularly like the deadly force part (although it's probably right to allow), but certainly a good idea to close the loopholes on this if it's already allowed.

Oppose.  It should protect drug dealers too.

Neutral, the concept is a bit flawed in general.  But if it's there, it should include those things.

How does a court determine whether a person "genuinely feels his life or the lives of his family, or their safety, are threatened"? Just because the person says so?

Location of the perp, the victim, the surroundings, and about a 1000 other variables.....

In all honestly, Beet, there are few charges brought against your garden variety home/business owner who uses deadly force.  When they do charge them, it's generally pretty blatant that it wasn't self-defense.

I support it fully of course.  And remarkably, most cops support it as do the politicians.  Now Stephen Zappala, our DA is a politician and a pussy, but he knows where the votes are at and he doesn't prosecute this stuff unless it's blatant.
