Hello, I'm new to the forum, though I've been reading some of these timelines for the past year or so. I have lots of ideas, and I was wondering which to write first. Here are some:

Nixon wins in 1960
Bloomberg in 2012
Wallace in 1968
Some sort of Robert Taft imeline that leads to the Republicans dominated by Goldwater and Buckley by 1956
Some sort of other Taft timeline that leads to the Republicans being dominated by Goldwater and Paul by 1980

First of all, welcome to the forums!

My advice is to do whichever interests you the most.  I will say that the first two both sound very interesting.

I think the first two would be good.

And welcome!

I have other ideas, some of which are less erious, including

California Uber Alles, the election of Jerry Brown and the end of freedom

Jim Morrison in 1980-Jim Morrison was the lead singer for the band The Doors. Keyboardist Ray Manzarek thought he coul run for President in 1980. Sadly, Morrison dies in 1971, so America never experienced the Morrison Era

JFK Lives, which involves Republicans being more like Eisenhower (Low budget, pro-welfare, but fiscally Conservative), and Republicans more like JFK (big on government spending, pro-tax cuts, and big on Defense)

However, I'm thinking of doing Bloomberg first, though I haven't been able to find a complete list of Republican 2012 primaries.

Please, not another 2012 timeline. This board is full of them as it is. I would much prefer Nixon in 1960.
