Gentleman we have some other business to deal with.

First off, for over a year there has been a vacancy in the regional chairmanship of the NE RPP, and while small comparatively, the NE RPP sits in place in the electorate that gives it influence beyond that of 5 people in other situations. As such I think it is important that NE RPP become more organized and involved in the affairs of that region. Those interested must be currently (as of this post Tongue) registered in the NE RPP, atleast somewhat active and involved, and willing to lead. This will be an interim appointment till the next Convention in late Jan/early February. Those interested, please PM me.  (I expect a flood of PMs Tongue)

And lastly, even though duke hasn't keeled over just yet, we should establish a provision to deal with a vacancy in an At-Large seat under the new recently passed amendment to the proportional representation act.  Its not an urgent matter though  like iti s for the Populares and JCP.

Two routes to go...
Either A) Just let the Chairman appoint someone, or B) let people declare interest, then have a party vote, select someone, and they'll serve.

I am leaning towards B right now.

But it must be considered that in such events, time must be a consideration.

I'd like to keep my grasp on some power via the Vice Chair position, please. I think I've done alright as the year long interim VC.

We are currently nominated cities for the Convention on the private forum. All RPPers may nominate a city if it hasn't already been nominated. I expect to end this process and begin a vote this weekend, with the convention opening no later then late next week.

Are we simply to vote for a single city, or are we allowed to preference several cities?

Do preferences, there are too many to just pick one. Does IRV sound alright to you guys? It just means I won't be able to calculate them, someone will have to do that.

I understand that it's not a "vote for one" election, and we can preference more than one city, then.
