Both Massachusetts and Maryland would be in my WORST 10 states.

Both are fantastic states with ridiculous politics. I vote for the Bay State; I do live here, and Romney is pretty cool. (Though I do here good things about Ehrlich and Steele, and I adore Baltimore).

I wonder who you are talking too, because there isn't much good in those two.

wait...How the hell did we end up with these?

Maryland's ok...but with all due respect Mass. is full of suburban scum with heavy accents.

We in NH spit upon MA.

Or at least I like to think so. Juvenile delinquents here seem to wish they lived in Lawrence with their friend/drug dealer.

If it weren't for the climate, I'd like MA.  I thoroughly enjoyed the lifestyle I had there, when I lived in MA, but the climate was absolutely bitter.  Also, most of that state's 7 million residents live within a fifty mile radius of Boston, so driving there is a real bitch too.  If they had a fantastic subway system, like NYC, then it'd be okay, but since they don't, bad driving conditions bite.  Also, whoever sold the massachusetts yuppie on the SUV ought to be tarred and feathered.  There's no reason to put those things on the narrow streets of Boston.  WTF??  On the other hand, it is close to New Hampshire, the land of the Booze Barns and low taxes!  (too bad about that big rock face falling away)

I never lived in Maryland, but spent some time there on vacation, in staying with a friend in Germantown.  Very beautiful area.

Still, I'm inclined to vote Democracy sucks, since it does.  As Alexander Hamilton rightly stated, "Your people, sir, are a beast!"

We miss the old man...

But we're over it. C'mon, we're not all totally lifeless sad sacs who mourn the loss of a rock.

Hey, what happens if the third option (which I voted for) ends up winning? Do we declare no state to be the favorite state contest winner? Right now all three options are neck and neck...

No, then MD and MA would tie.

Maryland is a great state. Massachusetts doesn't really have anything going for it other than stuff that happened 200 years ago.
