52% - Jaime Herrera (R)
43% - Denny Heck (D)

Filtering:  700 registered voters from Washington's 3rd Congressional District were interviewed by SurveyUSA 09/12/10 through 09/14/10, using Registration Based Sample (RBS) from Aristotle in Washington DC. Of the registered voters, 552 were determined by SurveyUSA to be likely to vote in the 11/02/10 general election. 38 of Washington's 39 counties vote solely by mail; ballots will be mailed to voters on 10/15/10.

WA-03 is a classic swing district and I do not think we will be able to hold it in this political environment.

I will at least console myself that Herrera will be better than Linda Smith.  I was furious when she was the representative for this district.

Why did Baird retire anyway?  He was fairly young.

Didn't want a tough fight I suspect. There's also a rumor he wants to run for Governor in two years.
