Week old, but here you go:

link

Martin Heinrich (D) 47%
Jon Barela (R) 41%

link

Harry Teague (D) 45%
Steve Pearce (R) 42%

I believe both of these districts were Republican held seats for over 20 years before the 2008 wave.  So these are very encouraging numbers for the Dems.

A week old? That's so long ago. Since then the national mood has gotten more favorable to the Republicans. These seats are number 58 and 74 on the Republicans' target list and look how close they are. These should be on a watch list. Republicans will gain 75 seats.

Sigh. Et tu Brute? Smiley Anyway, the Teague-Peace numbers are good news for the Dems. This seat should fall if the GOP is even going to take over the House, much less get up to 55 seats or something, absent matters not more regionally focused (and I understand they are to some extent), or this is not due to something about the individual candidates. But hey, maybe the poll is wrong!  Tongue
