Certainly a most vitriolic article.  However, were Arafat dying of AIDS, the simplest solution on the part of vitriolic Palestinians would be to blame the Israelis for having deliberately infected him.  As for the rather lurid insinuations given in the article for how he was supposedly infected, all I will say is that there are plenty of other ways one can catch HIV, if that is indeed his problem, and that the article was vile and lurid enough to make me not bother finishing it and to discount the views of the author and anyone who would recommend his writings.

Well, as you know I see nothing 'wrong' with colonizing another country, but by the same token isn't it a bit absurd to call people fighting foreign invaders of their country 'terrorists'?

There is a school of thought that says the term makes it easier to sway the masses.  "Persons of political differences" makes it hard to convince your constituency that you're fighting a moral crusade, necessary to build the clout necessary to "colonize" another country. 

I don't agree, but interesting.  The reason why I mention it is that I think you might agree with the politicians overusing the term and the public reinforcing it, given your skepticism over the mob to do anything productive without being twisted by elites

I always think it's weird that anyone who attacks our soldiers these days is labeled a terrorist, when it used to be more of a civilian-killer term.
