Goodbye GMTV

Britain's fluffy morning TV show is no more. It's been running since 1993 when it replaced TV-am (another I can remember with fondness Sad

)

Now we are to treated with Adrian Chiles and Christine Bleakley (look them up) going from fluffiness to serious morning TV hosting the replacement show Daybreak. I give it 6 months.

If anyone can remember early GMTV it tried to be serious...but along came the sofa after 6 months of plunging ratings and it was back in the TV-am format again.

I'm too tried in the monring for serious 'buisness news'; I want my fluff Tongue

GMTV is awful, but it's not half good background noise for when you're getting ready in the morning. It'll be missed. Tongue

What is mostly remember of the show above. Strangely I have a vague memory of GMTV taking over from TV-am. Which shows how much television I watched then... such wasted youth.
