Clinton declines to run for re-election, and Casey captures the Democratic nomination, selecting conservative mayor James Griffin.

Why does Clinton not want to run for reelection?

Meh.. for the sake of a fun scenario. Tongue

I probably should've structured some kindof background, but I'm beat from work.

Okay - third question - does Perot still run?

(Significant, because he'd then be the only pro-choice candidate).

He does not, but declines to endorse anybody either.

The Democratic team is too conservative for many Democrats to bother wanting to show up.

Not to mention Casey Sr is almost 2 years out of the governorship and I believe fighting a serious illness (a fight which he ultimately loses).

Well, naturally, this is a very weak ticket for the Democrats - you may include Dick Lamm (Reform) if you guys are so inclined.

I'm interested in seeing if a Dole victory is possible, and if so, what you guys envision it to be.

Well, he ran for the Reform Party nomination in 1996.. without Perot I don't see why he wouldn't get it.

Without Perot and his millions, the Reform Party is not relevant.

Amyloidosis. The same condition Pittsburgh Mayor Richard Caliguiri and Erie Mayor Louis Tullio also died from within the same period.

Here's a map for you:

Casey wins 271-267 due to the good economy.
