I don't usually agree with what the UN General Secretary has said concerning Iraq, but I have been able to understand his point of view.  However, after this week's letter to Allawi, Blair, and Bush, (link) I have to wonder about his sanity.  I can't see how anyone could come to the conclusion that attacking Fallujah would reduce the chances for successful Iraqi elections.  It might not improve them, but it certainly won't harm them.
