It's still close, as long as the GOP doesn't nominate Christie or Basil. Palin is only behind by 6% - Truman was behind by as much as 11% in 1948, meaning she could potentially upset him.

Christie is just doing poorly because he's largely unknown. The (D) in PPP is clearly frightened by the results, which is why the whole blog post is taken up with insisting that Ron Paul should run as an independent.

Right, with Christie it all comes down to how those polls are weighted.

So basically comfirming what we have known for a while. Americans hate the Democrats, but hate the Republicans more. It reminds me of the Tony Blair years.

I'm offended by the fact that he "tricked the internet".  I feel so used.

They polled Paul getting double digits as a third-party candidate but didn't bother polling him in a head-to-head match against Obama?

Probably more people who are just ashamed of it.  I doubt many of the "Don't care to say" votes were trying to hide their sobriety from an automated system.

Why, what's the "real" number of people who have smoked marijuana?  I honestly have no idea what the figure would be.

Depends on what generation you're polling.  I'm sure it's higher amongst baby boomers than Generation X.
