The reasoning for this resolution is simple enough. Regional governments are taking an ever-increasing part of the game. We could argue back and forth about whether or not this is a good thing, but the fact of the matter is that regional government business has much more prominence than a year ago, let alone further back.

Every region now has an assembly or legislature of some sort, and they're all trying to fight to stay on the first page on the Atlas Fantasy Elections board, which has traditionally been a board for media, offices, campaigning, general discussion, etc. It makes everything rather cluttered and regional government business can get lost in the chaos.

It's a pretty simply solution that would clean up a large portion of the game and give regional governments more of an ability to stretch their legs instead of being cramped in among other unrelated stuff. Imagine the Senate trying to conduct itself on the Atlas Fantasy Elections board. Yeesh.

I don't think this would be entirely necessary, but at least it wouldn't hurt.

I support this measure.

In the past, "Proposed legislation" threads have fallen to page two, three, or even four.

As long as Dave is willing to create a childboard, this ought to pass.

I hate to act like I'm a Senator, but, I'm very much in favor of this idea and I hope y'all pass it and send it on to Dave to consider.

Also, seeing as I had this idea rather a long time ago, I felt like participating in it now. Admittedly, it was limited to one region. Tongue Wink

Ok, looks like this is ready to be voted on.

Senators, please vote aye, nay, or abstain.

As Governor of the  Mideast region, a region with one of the most active regional legislatures, I urge the Senate to pass this bill.

Just a clarification question: Since this is a resolution, rather than legislation, is there a need for a presidential signature when it passes?

This bill has the votes for passage! Since there were no nay votes, passage is effective immediately. This resolution is now into effect.

Nope.

Symbolic gestures are nonetheless appreciated of course, to show your support Tongue You should PM Dave with the request and the rationale for it and see if you can convince him to create the childboard.

As Dave has never returned a PM from me, ever, and I don't think being President of an imaginary forum game lends me much cred, I will leave the internals to our resident moderators.

Thanks BK!
