I can't believe our resident poll posting robot hasn't put this one up yet.

Tom Coburn (R) - 62
Mark Myles (D) - 27

Tom Coburn (R) - 65
Jim Rogers (D) - 26

Shocking, I know. Rogers is a perennial candidate, Myles is a lawyer of some sort.

As I noted with Al in 2004, Coburn is basically the perfect Republican candidate for OK geography-wise (and probably ideology-wise).  I know he'll perform better than Inhofe for this reason - the question is how much.

A little late for that at this point, as the filing deadline has passed. He wouldn't win, anyway; Oklahoma's not sending a Democrat to the Senate again for a long time.

Plus Andrew Rice was a serious candidate. These nobodies won't be able to raise the $2.8 million he managed to pull in.

Coburn is one of the better Republicans in the Senate, oddly enough.

I agree with this. Coburn is a total nut, but he's a total nut in a much different way than all the other total nuts. That makes the total nut refreshing.
