If Johnson doesn't make himself well-known and capitalize on some sort of divide, Daniels would sweep.

Romney/Pataki I think have the best chances out of the group securing a nomination.. but as im not involved in the GOP, i can only make outsiders remarks.

I can't recall any GOP member ever disliking Romney. And Pataki can play on his being governor OF the State hardest hit in 9/11.

That would seem like a good team for the GOP, IMO.

That angle didn't exactly work out well for the mayor of the city hardest hit in 9/11, did it?

I wouldn't consider Daniels or Romney moderates. I would have considered Romney a moderate liberal when he was in Massachusetts though. I want a candidate to represent my party who is going to advance a conservative platform and fight to make America a more conservative place.

oh that makes real sense. I don't care what he did in office, I just care about what he says on the campaign trail.

Because obviously stump speeches mean more than past actions.

If Johnson doesn't make himself well-known and capitalize on some sort of divide, Daniels would sweep.

Even then, Daniels would probably still win. I doubt somebody who advocates legalized marijuana could go far in a Republican primary for President.

Romney is moderate... in his convictions.

What do you mean? I actually despise candidates who are good speakers today because they have an advantage which can lead people to ignore the issues. Always be careful when voting for the better speaker.
