Now, it's true: Senator Romeu Tuma (PTB-SP),79, died today. Now, he will be replaced by Alfredo Cotait Neto (DEM-SP) during his last 3 months in Senate.
Former soccer players of PSB, Romário (elected to Chamber of Deputies, by Rio de Janeiro) and Marcelinho Carioca (defeated in São Paulo) went campaign for Wilson Martins (PSB) and Dilma Rousseff in Piauí.
Vox Populi: Dilma 57 x 43 Serra

So, it just got ridiculously close momentarily after the underwhelming first round result, but is now back to what-we-expected-beforehand?

People expected 60-40 or larger before the first round.

Former governor of Sao Paulo (1987-91), Orestes Quercia (PMDB), 72, died due to a prostate cancer. He resigned his senatorial bid due to disease. He already was Mayor of Campinas, Senator (1975-83), Lieutenant Governor (1983-87) and PMDB presidential candidate (1994). He was a poor boy, but became a rich businessman and suffered with corruption accusations. He endorsed Serra in this year campaign, while national party endorsed Dilma (in 2002, he endorsed Lula, but national party went with Serra). RIP!
