You people are just over-reacting way too much. Sure, she thinks Obama is Hitler. Obama thinks there are 60 states. And Joe Biden is an alcoholic. That just about sums it up.
Hahaha
Just proves how insane the political scenery is, doesn't it?
So what are the consequences of a political figure who gets much attention who libels the President with a comparison to Hitler? Within sixteen months of achieving power, Adolf Hitler had
1. Assassinated opponents and people with whom he had a score to settle
2. Outlawed opposition parties
3. Transformed the legislative body into a mere stage for his own commands
4. Eviscerated the freedom of the press
5. Turned once-proud universities into diploma mills for young members of his political party
6. Eliminated independent youth groups
7. Begun the persecution of an old religious group on "racial" criteria
8. Dismantled or taken over once-independent labor unions
9. Established concentration camps and torture chambers
10. Begun meddling in Christian churches
11. Caused intellectuals to emigrate in fear for their lives
12. Permitted art only if it had propagandistic value
13. Allowed political corruption to become the norm; Party hacks started enriching themselves
...
President Obama is about as Hitler-like as was FDR was. He is a stickler for legality and process. His Senate majority has shrunk by at least one (and in the end, likely two) due to deaths of elderly Senators in his own Party. He is far more respectful of independent intellectuals than was his predecessor (take a look at Dubya-era efforts to promote creationism and deny global warming). He has turned the IRS loose on tax cheats who have used offshore bank accounts to conceal income. He is neither a racist nor a religious bigot.
Sarah Palin is a pathological liar. I could use that and her right-wing demagoguery as evidence that she is more Hitler-like, except that any comparison of her to Hitler is itself hysterical. Her talk of "death panels" that would emerge in the face of the President's pet health care reform is unqualified libel -- derogatory statements made either in knowledge of their falsity or in reckless disregard for truth.
Have you ever seen her property in Alaska? Sure, land is cheap in the 49th state -- but construction isn't. She let her husband in on state business with an oil company even though her husband is an employee of that oil company.
