Let's say that Tony Blair completed the third term and told the voters that he'd resign no matter who won the 2010 election and Gordon Brown would take over as Labour leader after the election. Nick and Dave are still the leaders of the Liberals and the Tories.

How would the election have turned out?

It wouldn't be sufficient to save labour. Probably things go exactly like IRL or slightly better for the labour.

Blair would have been removed in a leadership election had he not bowed out.
