1st Sabato on "Crystal Ball" calls a tie for tomorrow, then just now on the Ron Faucheax site campaignline.com says he wont call a winner until tomorrow - when he can see the exit polls

this is their jobs......make a pick.  how hard is it?

Based on the polls, and how spread out they are, I'd say it's very difficult to make an accurate one.

What's easy on Wednesday is hard on Monday is impossible on Tuesday.

Sabato is predicting an actual 269-269 tie...which is as definitive a prediction as any.

But I do think it is inappropriate to be making predictions or releasing polls while the actual voting is going on.

No, if you read it he says he has Kerry slightly ahead in Ohio, but he is giving it to Bush so it ends a tie.  Trying to have it 2 ways.

You'd all be singing a different tune if your job relied on it.
