True, Barack Obama hasn't murdered as many people as Harry S. Truman did...yet.

So true. Harry Truman could relate more to the comman man than Barrack. Also, Barrack my be headed for a fall intwo years, whereas Truman was able to scrape by with a victory. However, Obama could be the next Harry Truman if the Republicans nominate Pawlenty or Palin.

The German pronounciation does not figure in your signature at all. Böhner. Can't be that hard, can it?
Certainly going to be a hard battle to teach any German news announcer how to correctly mispronounce the name.

The joke comes from "Keeping Up Appearances", a British comedy from the 1990s. The wife, Hyacinth Bucket, is an unbelievable snob who insists the name is a homophone for "Bouquet", and that it is the French pronunciation of her French surname.

In the same fashion that he claims to be Bayner. The Germans say something along the lines of Borner (non-rhotic r), I'm guessing, but the English pronunciation of Boehner should obviously be Boner if you aren't going to try to do the proper German way.

[skip]bøːn (too lazy to look up the correct rendition of the second syllable, but not really different to a non-ridic, non-rhotic English pronounciation.) If you're incapable of pronouncing that, and incapable of pronouncing a long e too (in other words, if you are a monoglot anglophone Tongue Can't actually imagine another language with the latter problem) "ay" is probably going to be your best guess.
And surely an "English" pronounciation wholly ignoring the name's history would be not Boner but Bo Eener?[still skip]

Would be funny, but sadly he is way too old and has already ruled it out. Yes, he was actually asked the question in a debate.

Congratualations. I have relatives living in Frisco. Anyway, I'd rather be commenting on Randbo's signature.
