Okay, certifying some election results:

First, GOVERNOR of the NORTHEAST:

RowanBrandon 14
Sbane 1
EarlAW 1
Winston 1 (appears to be invalid -- did not declare as a write-in candidate)

With 87.5% of the vote (14 raw), RowanBrandon is duly elected Governor of the Northeast.

I guess the CJO stopped doing his thing.  Perhaps the Governor or Lt. Governor can do the CJO's thing instead.   I need to update the Wiki to show who won the Assembly.

The CJO should be found and forced to do his thing.

What is going in the Northeast these days? The Northeast Assembly has fallen to the third page and hasn't been updated in six days. Also an officer of the Northeast needs to introduce ratification of the Intra Regional Mobility Amendment which has passed the Senate.

I contacted the CJO a day or two ago - perhaps he has been busy. I'd say give it some time.

RowanBrandon is duly elected Governor of the Northeast.

Does this count as a certification?

Not of the Assembly results, which is what's at issue.

Well, we were supposed to have a new Assembly installed on Tuesday.  We didn't - and there's no reason for the old Assembly to be doing anything right now.

I have a wedding to go tomorrow so the earliest I can do anything is Sunday. Most likely though, I'll try to do something by Monday if something has not been done by then.

He's already the Governor.

(Blue portions changed on second edit.)
(Red portions added to original post on edit.)

I can post the math shortly, but after a few initial rounds, a few things are apparent.

First, with 54 50 registered voters, we are filling (54/6) = 9 (50/6) = 8 seats. With 19 total voters, the quota will be [19/(9+1)]+1 = 2.9 -> 3  [19/(8+1)]+1 = 3.111 -> 4.

ROUND 1
AndrewCT (DA) 9 *elected
Winston Disraeli (AWP) 2
hantheguitarman (POP) 2
redcommander (POP)  1
electoraljew2 (POP)  1
justw353 (DA)  1
FallenMorgan (ind) 1
EarlAW (write-in) 1
WilliamSargent (write-in) 1

AndrewCT is deemed elected on the first round; the transfer value of his votes are thus 0.667 0.556.

The only other candidates* receiving votes, at any level of preference, are:
DC cutie (1 second pref; 1 sixth pref; 1 eigth pref)
JJ (1 fifth pref)

It is the opinion of the CJO that neither of these two candidates will exceed the existing threshold of 1 vote (sigh). As such, the following nine candidates are elected:

It is further noted that EarlAW received one first preference vote, and no others. All other candidates with one first-preference vote received another, lower preference vote from a second ballot. Logically, EarlAW will be eliminated in the final round of balloting.

As such, the following eight candidates are elected:

AndrewCT (DA)
Winston Disraeli (AWP)
hantheguitarman (POP)
redcommander (POP)
electoraljew2 (POP)
justw353 (DA)
FallenMorgan (ind)
WilliamSargent (write-in)

EarlAW (write-in)

*It is worth noting that cinyc cast write-in votes for a number of candidates. However, because he voted "4" twice (and did not vote "3"), the CJO cannot precisely determine voter intent and can only count his vote through the second preference.

Whoops!  I could have sworn I proofread my vote.

The Registrar reported that there were only 50 registered voters as of 12:00 midnight on the Friday of the election.  See the Census thread.  Shouldn't we have 8 seats?
