If Mitch Daniels runs for President in 2012, Mitt Romney is toast.

I would have said that he'd face an "Arab Background" problem four years ago; now, it's no problem.  Smiley

I wouldn't call Obama toast yet. Anything can happen.

Actually neither of them would be toast. Daniels is a bore.

As is Romney. The difference? Daniels is a new bore, Romney is worn out.

I think Thune and Barbour can also beat Romney in the primaries

Here we go...

Word for the wise; Don't make posts like this.  Even if you are right, you will look like a moron come 2012.

Surely you've made predictions like this in the past?

Romney is toast anyway. The healthcare bill, as David Frum noted, was Romneyescue when he was Massachusetts' governor — the one the flip-flopper later denounced. Seriously overestimated and out of his element.

Of course I do, as do we all.  But I'm smart enough not to do it here with the 3rd graders like BRTD that will go to extreme lengths in 2012 to find every single prediction that was wrong and act like it's the funniest thing they've ever seen.

Once we're out of the early stage I'd see a Romney vs Gingrich vs Daniels if he runs

And then when that happens, Romney no longer can win (especially once it's down to two). Romney is only winning because the polls spilt the conservative vote with Huck, Palin and Gingrich

If Mitch runs, Romney will not win Iowa.  He probably won't win Iowa against Thune or Pawlenty anyways.

Mitch could possibly win in Iowa. Romney has no chance, but if Pawlenty or Thune are in the mix there would be a lot closer of a race likely for Pawlenty
