Um, PBrunsel?  Could you please hold one of these before taking office as President?

Sorry to hear that. Hope you feel better now. What do you want done for the Inauguration in terms of other persons' speeches?

Too bad I live in the Pacific region now, King Cheesy

I endorse ILV unless Clay wants to run and then I share the endorsement (but'll probably vote for ILV because of party stuff) Smiley

The Cheif Justice should create a "Inauguration" Thread. I will give my inaugural address and Keystone Phil will too. I will invite two other people to speak at my inauguration.

So who is actually running in this race? (Gotta get the names so the National Atlasian can publish endorsements.)

Although I appreciate the 1/4 vote of confidence King gave me, I ain't runnin'. Not enough time, and the Midwest Region would be death for me anyway to win. Wink

Is there actually a date for this election to be held?

I suppose it will have to wait weekend beginning Friday 12th considering how little time we have to put this one together.

I think that enough time has been given to Clay to see whether he announces or not; so

I OFFICIALLY ANNOUNCE MY CANDIDACY FOR MIDWEST GOVERNOR IF AN ELECTION TAKES PLACE!

IT has to take place, silly. PBrunsel will resign because he won the Presidential election. Smiley

If an election ever takes place, I urge the citizens of the Midwest to cast your ballot for Nobody.  Governors have too much power now, according to the Supreme Court.  We would be better off not having one.

Remember, last time I campaigned [some] on the premise to remove the post of Governor; however, it now seems to be impossible to do that now the Senate has about no power Sad

The first post in the stickied Headquarters thread can direct you to the answer most questions of that type, George. While Ohio and Iowa are currently in the same District (District 3) they aren't in the same Region.  Districts are used to elect Senators while Regions are used to elect Governors.  Had PBrunsel been a Senator you could run for the seat he is vacataing, but he is vacating the Midwest Governorship and you are in the Mideast.

The Republicans use those regions for nominating their presidential candidate.  The regions from which governors are elected are different
