The fate of the 2004 election rests on the red-hot right arm of Packers QB Brett Favre.  Why?

Since the beginning of the Washington Redskins franchise, their final game before the election has decided the presidency.  Every year since 1932, when the Skins have won, the incumbent party has also won the presidency.  but when they lose, the non-incumbent party has won.

The election will be decided today.  Thankfully, GB has routed their last two opponents and Washington QB Mark Brunell looks done.

Track the game on sportsline.  GO PACK!

Ryan Longwell field goal from 37 years is GOOD.

Kerry 3, Bush 0.

Just one more reason to cheer for my beloved Pack.

Obviously it's just a funny coincidence, but I still dearly hope that the streak continues. Smiley

Quick question.

Would rather see the Skins win today and eagles lose, or see the Eagles win and the Skins lose?

I'd rather see an Eagles win. I don't really believe the Redskins-Packers game controls who wins the White House. However, it is fun to watch the trend continue.

Now if the question was Who would you rather see win? Bush or the Eagles, I'd say Bush.

Some refs know about the correlation and are pushing for it.

At least a player on my fantasy team scored.

I'd rather see the Eagles win than Bush.

(and I'd rather have Kerry win and have the Eagles lose every game during his administration, than a Bush win and the Eagles winning every game for the next 4 years).

I'm just glad to see my Texans do well.  Already up 14-0 over the Jags.

Skins just scored, 20-14.

The theory isn't meaningless.  It's happened 18 straight times.
