In 2006, Former Governor of Massachusetts William Weld wins the Governorship of New York, becoming the first person to become the Governor of two states since Sam Houston. In 2008, he runs for President, and after a key endorsement from Mitt Romney wins the nomination over John McCain.
Barack Obama, seeking to counter Weld's executive experience, selects Governor Bill Richardson as his running mate. Everything else remains the same. Discuss, with maps.
