In other news, a strike has broken out a several Honda transmission plants, with workers demanding more pay. This is the first time the state-controlled media actually reports such a strike involving a large player.

These individual cases are of course horrible and the working conditions are also horrible, but there are 800.000 people working for FoxConn and there have been 12 or so suicides.

But isnīt that the normal suicide rate in the population ?

I mean Austria has 8.400.000 people and there were about 2000 suicides last year ...
