I bet he will as he will likely have a very similar scenario.

That's 2011; it'll be morning by spring 2012.

LMAO. Let's see the morning I see in it would be freezing temperatures, traffic jams, kids being kidnapped at the bus stop, those who do have jobs still will be turned away at the door finding out that their work has gone out of business, and acid rain.

The sting of a recession usually lasts for at least two years after it has ended.  If there is a double dip in 2011, unemployment will likely be rising well into 2012.

I don't see a double-dip occuring.

A "morning in America" type ad can work only if America looks out and sees sunlight.  I don't think America will.

Yes Obama's morning in America would also include a 7:30 sun rise.

That's 2011; it'll be morning by spring summer 2012.

But that morning could have come a LOT quicker

Yes, kittens and puppies will rain from the sky and everyone will forget about all of the other things Obama has done just because the economy gets better.  He cant escape healthcare, immigration and the climate change bill coming soon - I wont say that he will lose, but he certainly wont improve upon 08 with how polarizing he is.  Plus, I have a feeling the antiwar left will sit out the election if he doesnt bring someone home soon.

I think the economy and job numbers will be in significantly better condition in two years.  So yeah, I think he will.

If things are better in 2012 than in 2008, Obama wins.

You pretty much have to as the incumbent. Let's not forget that things were pretty crappy in 1984 when the actual Morning in America ad was launched.

Yes but a morning in America ad would be an obvious rip off. Those are more humorous now than anything. It is important for an incumbant to portray a country where things are going well.

It is impossible for the unemployment rate to get to 6.5% in just two years.

no need to feel smarter. If I owned a company and was rich I wouldn't hire until Obama had been voted out of office.

You'd base your hiring on who the president is and not the needs of your company? Right Roll Eyes You wouldn't be "rich" for long with that viewpoint.

Lol that's why I said if I were Bill Gates or Donald Trump material. Employment rates really have nothing to do with who is in office. However, if I owned an oil company I would raise the prices of gas to about $10 per gallon the week before the election if a democrat were in office. I'd like to see the oil companies do this actually.
