Maybe the voters shouldn't have turned up at 9:50 expecting there to be no que.

Pretty much my thought.  But then I voted at lunchtime so I can feel smug.

I knwo right. How hard is it for these people go after work or during their lunch break? They had 15 whole hours to vote.

In Tyrone West: 3.8% swing from Democratic Unionist to Sinn Fein.
In Antrim North: DUP won, but there's no swing info yet.

North Antrim swing of 13.2 DUP -> TUV; the TUV had not stood there before.

Completely irrelevant. Voters were told they had until 10 P.M. to show up and vote. To not allow anyone who showed up before that time is disgusting disenfranchisement. Period.

I don't see what the big scandal is.....it may be a stupid law, but if British law requires that nobody be given a ballot paper after 10pm, shouldn't the voters be aware of this?

What do you all think the results would have been without Brown's "bigoted woman" gaffe?

Lib Dems hold Thornbury & Yate.

4.3% swing from Conservatives to Lib Dems there.

It already was a Lib Dem seat, though.

AND I got the swing backward - it was 4.3% from Lib Dems to CONSERVATIVES, not the other way around.

Absolutley - if that holds in other places, they'll gain some Liberal Democrat seats.
