I have become quite aware over the last couple of days that I spend way too much time here, and really accomplishing nothing. I'm not going to convince anyone of anything, since everyone here is pretty set in their political views. (Please, no one take that as me saying you're misusing your time. This is a personal decision that I feel is right for me.)

So, as a result, you'll probably be seeing little to nothing of me around. It's been fun, but, I just feel like I need to focus my priorities a little more.

Ummm....alright? Your business of course....but you're obviously not going to convince people of stuff here. It's never been my goal.

Good luck anyway.

In general, trying to convince other people of one's views is a fruitless exercise. As such, I would not use that as a principle criterion of whether or not you are wasting your time in being on here. Regardless, it is your time, & you should do with it as you see fit.

Everyone should take note that with Joe's latest name he's also quite "out" as well.

I hope you'll reconsider.  You are quite possibly the only far-righter here who I've been able to respectfully debate.

Yeah ok.  That's how I run my time here.  I'm not making 20 posts/day here like everyone else and why should I?  Topics are always the same:

Republicans-stupid.  Democrats-smart.  Republicans-comeback?  Nahhh of course not!  They stink!  Republicans are so bad!

That's 70% of the forum for you right there.

I don't think the point is to convert or persuade folks, but to empower them by giving them information to think about, and perhaps over time that information may have an impact. Anyway that is my approach.

There are perks to getting access to the mod forums.  Discovering that hilarious thread was one of them.

EDIT:

Now the mod board has another Harry-started thread, for future moderators years from now to discover.  Circle of life!
