Last time i checked it would appear that things have become a little more settled, but the rate of inflation is still pretty high. In event would anyone here like to list all of the causes as to why this country experienced hyper inflation.

Well they have the same health care system as Massachusetts and New York so however they are doing, New York and Massachusetts are heading that same direction. Glad to see that in my country you know.

That's like saying that your neighbor A has a poodle and was facing foreclosure.....and that neighbor B just bought a poodle...and must therefore also be facing the same fate.

No it's not at all like that. Unless you're spending so much money on your poodle that you can no longer afford your home.

Are you honestly claiming Zimbabwe's money problems are due to their health care system? Honestly?

That's what your argument amounts to.

There's alot more to it than just that. I was more making the point that Mass and NY will become like Zimbabwe if they don't straighten up. Yes, their health care system is one reflection of the causes.

No...they...won't.

Bread won't cost a few million dollars.

The whole healthcare = Armageddon doesn't fit in any DEVELOPED country in the world.

New York and Massachusetts are what I would call developed...Although, whatever state you live in must not have a schooling system, so perhaps it is Third World.

I'd love to live in a state without a government school system. I want a private school voucher system. How long was your last wait for a doctor visit? Mine was 2 minutes.

Mine was 2 months and then about 45 minutes once I got into the clinic... a half hour past the scheduled time of course.

It cost $250 for that... to walk in the door.

I'll pay the higher taxes and have socialized medicine over this joke any day.

Wait, seriously?  This is a joke, right?  There's no way that you seriously think that health care is the cause of Zimbabwe collapsing.  When you have "land reform," intentionally alienating the entire world, institutionalized racism, open thuggery and violence, a nearly 1/3rd AIDS rate, a currency so debauched that it had no calculable value, and the transformation of one of the world's largest food exporters into one of the world's largest food importers, you blame health care?

It's in a bad way, but things are better than they were a few years ago. The political situation is fractious but somewhat stable-ish, the economy is not in a good position but is no longer actually collapsing. Mugabe himself won't last much longer, so further political change of some sort is likely in the next few years.

Also, as Smid pointed out, they're playing cricket again and have done surprisingly well.

Did you even read what you quoted from me? I said health care is one of the things not the only reason.

Yes and you live in a state that is very liberal on issues other than social issues. Go move to Texas and you'll be fine.
