John Zogby is on The Daily Show right now...he just announced that Kerry would win...to wild cheering in response.

He's going for volume, two predictions in one week.

Zogby's playing to the crowd of the moment.  He told Hannity one thing and Stewart another.  Given his comments though, I wouldn't be surprised to see Kerry spring to the lead in his poll.  About twenty percent of his poll is based on his gut.  Maybe he thinks the expolsive story is the big thing.

I smiled when I saw yesterday's show an hour ago and he announced who today's guest would be...

...pollster David Zogby. Ouch.

Zogby is becoming as confused as Dick Morris.

Of course, this isn't that unexpected.  I can imagine the reception he would get on the Daily Show if he were to say Bush would win.

(and only imagine the reception if he said Nader would win)  Smiley

I must admit, as a Bush supporter, I am concerned with all of the news tonight. The people over at DU are going nuts with the story of DAvid Kay saying the footage from the MN tv station made it "game set match" on the Iraqi weapons story. This will be spun all day long against Bush tommorrow.

Ed Koch got booed on The Daily Show when he said he was supporting Bush.  He called them on it and said it was pretty tasteless.

Amazing that he's still taken seriously. And not only that, some regard him as an authority. He may have nailed the '96 election down to a zillionth of a percent, but that was '96. And look at 2002. And now a new prediction every couple days. Kind of like me hitting a grand slam in the World Series to win game 7 about 6 years ago, have done little to nothing since, and am still regarded as one of the best hitters in baseball. I mean Zogby might be the Kordell Stewart of polling! We'll see.

Kerry still up in CO? lol

Possibly why The Daily Show opted for him.

Yep, and it's typical of the floundering Bush campaign to not have a strong response to any of this news.  And where is an october surprise from Karl Rove?  Can't they make any positive news for themselves or bad news for Kerry?!?!  This might be the worst run campaign since Dukakis.

I dunno...let's face it. Zogby CAN'T be wrong...or it is totally over for him and his polling firm. He must be extremely confident in a Kerry victory.

Since when did Zogby ever predict Bush would win? I'll be waiting for that quote.

If memory serves, Zogby had Gore up in FL by 11% the week before the election.

'Nuff said about Zogby.  I don't buy Kerry being up in CO at all.

Too bad the Daily Show audience isn't indicative of the country as a whole.
