So if elected, Purple State/Marokai Blue would seek to overturn regionally-approved abortion bans at the federal level?

Gosh I hope so.

So this radical extremist anti-regional, anti-life ticket is the same ticket that's been selling all this time itself as some kind of moderate unifying force? What a sick joke.

You realize that you quoted Barnes, even though both Marokai and I replied with answers that were not at all similar to what Barnes said...

I know you do this on purpose for your own ends, but your efforts are disingenuous and transparent in their obtuseness.

Good luck to your candidates this weekend.

We're so radical and anti-region in fact, that this ticket and you agree on most game reform proposals!

So why are you and Marokai Blue afraid to give a straight answer? Do you support a federal policy to strike down regional abortion bans or not? Yes or no?

I would personally support a constitutional form of national protection for abortion rights.

I have traditionally favored a region-by-region approach to the issue, but I do support the freedom of a woman to choose. As a result, I have and will continue to support pro-choice policies at the regional level and would be unlikely to strongly back a constitutional policy on the matter.

That said, this campaign cannot simply be about abortion policies. If Atlasians want just another four months of the same, old, stale debates on abortion/climate change/health care/(insert token issue here), this ticket is not for you.

My running mate and I stand on a platform of a renewed and revitalized Atlasia through extensive and wide-ranging game reform proposals.

How Things Began...

With the general election finally upon us I thought it would be fun to dig back in my PM box and look through my PMs for the first few I received from Purple State proposing the idea of running to me. I thought it was amusing to look back on, especially my initial reaction, and for fun and transparency, regardless of how this election turns out, let's take a trip back to March 25th.

(For the record my Atlas time is an hour behind and I never cared nor knew how to change it. That out of the way, these are the first three PMs I received from PS on the issue, and the first one I sent back [I didn't save others of mine and he didn't quote them], just for fun.)

I'm bored. Want to run for P/VP next election?

It may be 2:00am but I am most certainly as lucid as can be.

What do you have to lose?

[Me saying something like "Why would you ever want to run with ME of all people?"]

I wouldn't want to run with a boring and/or inactive and/or conservative nutjob...

Better I end up losing with an exciting, active and liberal nutjob.

I'm pretty fed-up with the seeming need to have inactive P/VPs around here. We are both active, knowledgeable, unafraid to pick a fight. We can debate intelligently and put out platforms. We also each have very exalted positions in the game.

Mull it over. And no, I haven't consulted anyone on this. Just puttin' out feelers.

And so it began. Tongue

And what was I bored with?

I was bored with the inactivity and disinterest.

I was bored with the same, old, stale debates on the same, old, stale issues.

I was bored with the triennial personality contest that valued popularity over policies.

And I was bored with doing nothing about it.

Vote Purple State/Marokai Blue and thank you all for your support.

Thank You

While the results look promising, we don't plan to make any sort of announcement until a clear and final tally of the votes have been certified.

Regardless of the outcome of this election, I want to thank everyone who turned out to vote and I want to give profound gratitude to all those who supported me and Marokai over the past two months and this weekend in the voting booth.

My sincerest appreciation,
~PS

Your two major opponents have conceded the election. TPTTAA is wondering if you'd honour them with the first post-election interview?

Freedom election. (tm)

Naturally I, too, expect a Cabinet position since I, uh, voted for you.

Yeah.

Never mind.
