I highly doubt that. Much more people are bigoted against socialists than against gays or muslims. Mainly beacuse there are people fighting against racial/sexual prejudices but nobody against ideological prejudices.

Nonsense. Muslims are one of the most discriminated against people in the US, and gays are only "accepted" by about 40% of the nationwide of the population, if legalization means "acceptance."

Only about 53% of the people believe Capitalism is better then Socialism. Also, I highly doubt that most people know what Socialism is, and a skillful candidate can repackage it and make it viable. It's actually pretty appealing, if it is presented in the right light. (Plus, since it is a Jew running as a socialist, it will do away with that one Nazi 'greed' prejudice once and for all).

If this is 2008, the Socialist would win, but it might matter a lot on what the Lesbian looks like, to be honest.

This poll doesn't really means so much. As I read by clicking on the link, it appears that only 20% actually rank socialism above capitalism. And I also believe that, among the 53%, there is a great share (I'd say 30-40%) of people who hate socialism more than anything, while the 20% of "socialists" probably are far less radical.

And I think this thread makes sense only if we consider that each candidate openly assume his "particularity". If the lesbian hides the fact she is lesbian, and the muslim the fact that he is muslim, there is no interest anymore.
