What's the significance of the female/male suicide bomber variations?

Depressing. I can already imagine how the Kremlin fascists will exploit this to once again purge the opposition.

Ayers seems to think that Islamist terrorists don't use women, which would mean that the use of women shows nationalist rather than religious motivation. But Al-Qaeda and other Islamic terrorist groups do use women, so I don't think it really means anything.

May the victims rest in peace and the murderers get what they deserve.

Yeah, I've seen other incidences, I was just interested in the symbolic significance of a terrorist organization choosing female activists...?

A tragedy. Very interesting to see the story develop. I wonder what the Russian response will be.

Lol.

Why are you so amused?  They're clearly fascists.

May the victims rest in peace and the murderers get what they deserve.

It isn't so clear who you mean by 'victims', and 'murderers' here, but the key to tracing responsibility is this - if someone is really responsible, they can't be 'caught'.

Not sure whether they can do more than what they already did there, though they wouldn't be alone to do the stupidity to use tanks and other war means against terrorism...

They've already rolled over their Muslims, back and forth, for generations, with all the tanks they've got, GG.  That's what caused these bombings, you see.

Your first reaction is to push your extremely biased opinion of the Russian government (how are they fascist, by the way?). Seems rather indicative to me.

The fact you associate Russia with Putin tells more things about you than about me.

I don't associate Russia with Putin, don't invent things. But the fact that your first thoughts were not about the victims but how the terrible government would use the attacks, speaks rather a lot.

You have no idea what my first thought was. And how terrible it was for the victims was such an evidence that it was pretty useless to say.

It was suggested by your writing that your thought was exactly that. And you haven't explained why you think the Russian government is fascist.

I've never used the word fascist: you said that, not me Smiley) I don't think they are fascist, actually. It's just an atrocious government, that's been really bad for Russia. They've dismembered whatever fledgeling institutions of the civil society were emerging there. And, of course, they are a gang of disreputable KGB-men and thieves (usually both simultaneously). But fascists they are not: they are not sufficiently ideological for that.

However, I do think you despise Russians, as you clearly think this government suits them. So, in my view, if anyone exhibits clear traits of Russophobia here, it's you Smiley)
