Since I have heard that there is little true political debate, I decided to enter a fair rather than totally out there question. Back in either 1981 or 1982, Thomas Eagleton and Orrin Hatch tried to pass an amendment to the Constitution that made it so that the Constitution of the United States could not be used to protect abortion as a right. It did not outlaw it, but it would overturn Roe v Wade. It was brought up to a vote in the Senate and failed.

My question to all of you, is whether or not the amendment should have been passed. Explain your reasoning.

Yes, of course it should have passed. It would have restored the rights of the states to prohibit the murder of unborn children, as is their duty.
