Hey guys,

A family emergency popped up last night, so I have to run off to Illinois this morning.  I'll be back Monday night (hopefully).  Just to be safe, I've filled out my absentee ballot to drop off as I hit the road.  I'll do my best to catch up on all the discussions when I return.

Be safe, and be kind to each other while I'm gone.  And most importantly, go out and vote next week!

Welcome back, Modu. Hope all is well and it's good to see you back safely.

Thanks guys.  Driving 14 hours isn't all that it is cracked up to be.  *laughs*

However, I made some observations on the road:

First of all . . . I only saw a handful of Bush/Kerry signs in MD, PA, OH, IN, and IL.  While in Chicago, I saw more Bush signs than Kerry signs (though not many of either).  I did see one person with a Bush sign next to an Obama sign in their yard.    Commercials - outside of local campaigns, I heard one Bush commercial in Illinois, and one Badnarik commercial in Indiana.  And lastly, when I went to turn in my absentee ballot on Tuesday, our gov't polling office had a non-diebold electronic voting machine.  A very clear and easy way of voting. 

And now . . . I'm going to go pass out of my bed.  hahaha
