The Northeast is full of Populares, the Mideast is fairly balanced and past Assemblies have been pretty solidly balanced too (look at the early ones) and the Southeast is historically conservative, but even so, it still has one left-winger. Really the only wacky outlier here is the Northeast which has been vote-stacked by a certain political party.

The Northeast isn't vote stacked for Populares, lol. No more so than any other region for any other party at least.

Virtually the entire party membership is in the Northeast.

If approximately half the party is virtually the entire party, you may be on to something here. Despite this we maintain a strong presence in the Mideast, a couple in the Midwest, and have the Governorship and an Assembly seat in the Southeast. The purpose of this thread is not to attack one party you don't like with slanderous accusations.

The Mideast is the only major outlier, in my opinion. I mean, I am the only one in the assembly with a negative social score, and Ben is the only one with a negative economic score. It seems quite off balance to me.

Compare the Northeast Assembly composition to the February Senate result.

10/16 regional Assemblymen/Representatives/Legislators are or were members of the RPP, including all five in the Mideast.

I think only three currently are though which is about proportionate to their decline in numbers.

Also there are two vacancies in the Northeast that are likely POP pick-ups.

You folks sure have lots of turnover up there. It seems like only a week ago there was a special election to fill three vacancies.

We sure do. I think it's mostly because our competitive elections and large population (meaning lots of prominent Atlasians) mean people are constantly moving up the ladder in some way or another. Winston resigned to join the Senate, Hashemite and Barnes just became cabinet members, etc.

That tends to be the effect of regional legislative bodies. I remember that after the Mideast created its assembly, its citizens gained such a strong presence in the federal government that there was hardly anyone left to run for regional offices.

The Mideast Assembly swings a bit. During my time there I was at one point its most liberal member, and yet at another point the most conservative one as well.

If you refer to "political matrix", the overall membership of the Assemblies is quite balanced... And if the Pacific had an Assembly, well, I guess the view would be pretty different...

In the Mideast Assembly were very active members like Badger and Swedish Cheese, but they were elected to other functions.
Those willing to work in the Assembly were indeed more centrist or rightist than the electorate.
But they didn't hide their ideas and were elected nonetheless.

The current work in the Mideast Assembly is pretty serious and responsible.
And I don't think we betray the votes of our citizens, far from it.

The Mideast Assembly has become the most active and the most fairly elected Assembly, currently.
The SE Assembly is young and will undoubtedly develop itself in a very interesting manner.
As for the NE Assembly, let's see how it will work when faced with real debates.

What debates in the Northeast Assembly haven't been real?

You're right, I should have written "issues" not "debates".

Debates are real, but, for the moment, just resolutions to thank (or not) people, to condemn (or not) the SE, to repeal one law.

For the moment, no new legislation has been put forward, so it's difficult to make up one's mind on the legislative work of the new Assembly.

I agree, I was sad to see him leave. Regardless if he was to stay in the Assembly or not, I always saw him as a good friend here. But alas, whats done is done. All I know is that I'm staying here until the day I stop postin!
