Has anyone else seen this movie yet?  I'd like to know what you thought of it.

I thought it was hilarious and, at the same time, a pretty biting political commentary that was rough on both the right and the left.  However, I thought the left certainly took the brunt of the drubbing.  The way they were lampooned was outright.  To understand how Parker and Stone were ripping the right, you have to be at least a little bit politically knowledgeable.  Most of the folks on this board will have no trouble seeing it, but I'd guess that a lot of people who see this movie won't get it.

I wish the final speech that Gary gives in front of the peace conference (with Alec Baldwin cringing by his side) could be repeated by someone to the UN.  It was rude, crass, and filled with horrible language, but you know what?  It was probably more true than anything any politician anywhere in the world has said in years.  Sometimes it takes a little political incorrectness to be...well...truthful.

Saw it Saturday, it was great! They took no prisoners. I loved what they did with Michael Moore. Smiley
