Amendment X

The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.

I think this law needs to be better enforced.  I don't like how they standerdize speed limits and drinking ages.  National recommendations are fine but they make all of these things a money grab which really just increases the size of the government anyway.  I have a bit of a libertarian streak when it comes to states rights.

I voted no when I meant yes. Tongue I had gotten so used to your 'Should we repeal this amendment' questions I didn't read it. Tongue So one less no and one more yes is the reality.

Definitely yes. The 10th amendment was intended as a check on the power of the federal government. Its been routinely ignored since the early 1900's. The result has been many unconstitutional programs, very high taxes and a national debt that's going through the ceiling.
