Barbour has already visited both Iowa and New Hampshire.  Now he completes the hat trick with a visit to South Carolina:

He says it doesn't necessarily mean he's running in 2012.  But, well, that's what all of them are saying.

Meanwhile, Pawlenty is visiting the most overlooked of the early primary states:

Barbour is also now sounding more open to a presidential run than he previously was.  When asked about a 2012 run ~9 months ago, he brushed off the talk as ridiculous, but now:

Barbour stoked presidential speculation further with the announcement of a high dollar fundraiser in Las Vegas for his PAC:

Barbour = one of the worst possible choices for a GOP nominee.

Like their other choices are any better.

If there ever was a stereotypical Republican, it'd be Barbour.

A corporate tobacco lobbyist from the Deep South? Do I really need to explain further?

Yeah, but he's pro-life.  Who's better Thune and Huckabee?  A Barbour-Thune ticket could be strong.

He's not especially pro-life moreso than any other self-proclaimed pro-life Republican.

Barbour-Thune would get crushed.

I don't understand why Barbour is even being considered. He's not the best thing to look at(no homo) and he's not particularly charismatic in any way.

Pawlenty is as white bread as they come.

If either win the nomination I'll be shocked.
