The story provides no information about how the poll was conducted.....whether it was by phone or one of Zogby's internet polls, how big the sample size was, etc.  I also don't see any info on this poll on Zogby's website.

They must've limited this poll to Alabama or something.

From my perspective, it is good that none of them can top 22%. Hopefully this continues into the primary season. It would be even better if more longshot candidates ran, like Rick Santorum, John Thune, Rudy Giuliani, etc. Assuming Ron Paul can hang on to the 5% he won in '08, that leaves him with only 17% to catch up to.

When are the people going to learn that nationwide polls are useless when it comes to predicting outcome of presidential primaries? If Rudy Giuliani and Fred Thompson in 2008 and Howard Dean and Wesley Clark in 2004 didn't prove it, what will? This is basically just a name recognition contest.

I do not forecast primaries except to say that some candidates have weaknesses and some have bigger weaknesses.

We don't know who has an overactive zipper,  who may have been secretly taking bribes, or who has weak control of a temper, or has a tendency to say things offensive to large parts of the populace. Even such a matter as personal health can shape a primary election. Who would want to vote for some challenger who, because of terminal cancer, has no chance of serving more than a small fraction of his term?

I could see Palin going down like Rudy Giuliani, lead in all the polls, but run an inefficient campaign and crash and burn.

Who are these supposed Romney voters, the same ones that didn't show up in 2008?
