If that is the case, then unemployment is 8% or more on this date.

If the economy improves, Obama will get re-elected.  If it doesn't, Romney will win.

Detailed, scientific analysis...

Sarah Heath Palin

She will not win a majority of the vote though.

Barring catastrophe, Obama should be fine for reelection. After all, I can't think of a single candidate on the GOP bench that is especially thrilling to both the teabagger and moderate wings of the party.

Congress manages to amend to Constitution a term too early, allowing George W. Bush to become president. His VP is Joe Biden. That's right, he steals Biden from Obama with an offer of cookies.

President Obama

(And while I very much admire and support Vice-President Biden, I am sure none of us hope he becomes President.  At least not until 2016.)

I know, I'm just saying it's been awhile since a Vice President ascended to the presidency without being elected first, it's been even longer since we last had a president die in office.
We won't keep getting lucky forever.........

Oh yah, Tm...I knew you weren't hoping for an assassination.  You aren't like that.  And you're right...given the past and considering the level of irrational hatred in this country, an assassination is hardly unlikely.

The GOP candidate gets Tea Party support by default.

Don't know, but I'd be shocked if it was Obama.

Haha, you got me there. Smiley But they would never attempt to do anything like that on the national scale. Especially in a close race.

That saying, we do not know if Palin will run Indy. If she does, then the Dems will see a Nixonesque landslide.
